Accuracy

We prioritise court records, official statements and established news organisations. Developing stories are dated and updated when material facts change.

Legal reporting

Charges and allegations are not findings of guilt. We use precise terms such as accused, charged, convicted and acquitted, and preserve the presumption of innocence.

Corrections

Material errors should be corrected promptly with an update note explaining what changed. Conflicting early reports are checked against stronger sources.

Images and attribution

Editorial images carry credits where available. Sources are linked at the end of factual reports.
